Nothing beats snuggling under a faux throw or wool blanket in the winter months.
During last week’s storm, I was snuggled on the sofa, with my family, under our collection of warming winter throws.
But how do I store them when they’re not in use?
I love a basket, my favourites are wicker ones, they come in different shades, from the palest of greys to the darkest of mahogany. I have them dotted around the house to store blankets, cushions, books & magazines and toys (when the children were younger).
Store your faux fur throws or wool blankets in a beautiful storage basket
This wicker basket holds some of my faux fur throws – I fold and roll them up, like a cinnamon bun, and place them, so that their swirls are visible from the top.
Alternatively, you can style out the throws by placing them on pieces of furniture in your living room, as in the picture below, over the resting arm of an arm chair.
The grey & charcoal wool throw from Urbanara is huge! So I fold it multiple times (length ways) and position over the back of the sofa with the cushions placed on it.
Another easy option, is to place a blanket or throw at the end of a chaise long. I’ve placed our brown faux throw, across the width of the chaise long section of our corner sofa.
Which option is your favourite? How do you style your winter throws in your home? If you need any home styling assistance, please contact me for a chat on 0753333115.
I look forward to hearing from you, Elizabeth.
