The Life Organiser’s daily kitchen reset!

Keep your kitchen tidy and calm by having a daily kitchen reset.

We do a reset at least twice every day, first in the morning and finally in the evening, post dinner, as it helps us maintain the heart of our home and keep it under control.

After breakfast or post dinner, and whilst the kids are getting ready for school or hanging out together, we’ll wash up, hoover (under and around the dining table and kitchen area), empty the dish washer (having put it on the night before), and finally wipe down the kitchen counters.

I know it sounds a lot to do, and even though it doesn’t take 20 seconds, like in my video! It’s essential that the kitchen forms part of a daily maintenance routine, as it’s a space that can become easily overrun with mess and clutter!

If on the odd occasion, when neither of us can fit in the morning reset, because I’m working with a client and or my husband is straight into a meeting after the school run etc. It’s still a job that we fit in after I’ve returned home or before he makes another cup of coffee!

Do you have a similar maintenance routine? Or is your kitchen a daily frustration for you to keep on top of?

If you need any help setting up a maintenance routine, I’d love to hear from you, please email me at Elizabeth@thelifeorganiser.org
